Albin Dempsey Womeldurf , 62, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2012. Albin was born on November 1, 1949 in Gainesville, Florida and has called Richmond, Texas home for the past 28 years. He faithfully served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war stationed in Thailand and Okinawa. He retired from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2011. Albin is preceeded in death by his parents James and Eunyce "Precious" Womeldurf and his brother John Womeldurf. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving daughters Ashlee Cummins (Ryan) and Casee Powell (Eric), granddaughter Madysen Lane Powell, a brother Greg Womeldurf and his four legged BFF Tebow. A special thank you to his loving cousins and nieces who supported him throughout his cancer journey - Claude Goodwin, Janyce Dempsey, Tracy Brang, Jennifer Hofman and Kim Rodriguez. Albin loved his daughters more than anything, he loved making people laugh with his wicked dry humor and he loved the Florida Gators. Facebook will never be the same without his daily weather posts. A memorial service honoring Albin will be held on Saturday September 29, 2012 at 2:00pmCT in the chapel at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas 77077. In lieu of flowers or donations, please keep your money - that's what he would do!
