Robert R. Boone, 85, Passed away Oct 1,2012 at Charles VA Med Center, Asheville, NC with family by his side. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Riley Boone and Virginia Lynn Emory. He was born Aug 5, 1927 in Asheville NC where he attended Crossnore School, he then enlisted in the Navy and served in the Philippines with 111th Seabees during WWII. Continuing his service to our country as a Houston mail carrier for 29 yrs and served Houston as an Auxiliary Police Officer. After retirement, continued his community service, 20 yrs with SE Area Ministries SEAM. He was a loving parent, grandparent and family man.
Robert is survived by his son David Boone, daughters Lisa Patton, Brenda Boone, grandchildren Andria Boone, Steven & Shawn Patton, brothers David Boone/Linda, Bruce Emory/Bobbie, sisters Jane Johnson, Lynn Culberson, Sharon Biddix, Frances Smith/Bob, Gwen Weeke/David and numerous nieces/nephews.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Sat., Nov 3rd at Berean Christian Church, 2210 Bronson Hou, TX 77034 In Lieu of flowers you can make a donation in Roberts name to SEAM POB 267 Houston,TX 77587-0267.

It is just so hard to believe that you are not here anymore. As Christmas approaches I remember all the goodies I made for you last year and how you loved them. My sadness is only heartened by the knowledge that this Christmas you are at Home with our Lord Jesus.
