McGee (Mac), 79 of Conroe, Texas passed away on October 16, 2012. Mac was born in Lynn Township, Wisconsin to Alvin and Nadine (Carpenter) McGee in 1933.
He is survived by his wife Lois of 57 years, his sister Nadine, five children: Donna, Jim, Shel, Paul and Kelly. He is also survived by his niece Debbie, nephew Bill, niece Laura, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In Mac's last days he was cared for by his niece Laura for which we are all grateful. Mac loved traveling the country in his motorhome and working with his dogs, who have greeted him on the other side of the rainbow bridge. In Mac's travels about the country he would introduce himself to new friends by comically saying 'I am a professional liar, as a weather man I got paid even though I was wrong 75% of the time.'
For him this was an ice breaker that would put people at ease. Mac retired from the US Air Force after twenty years of service including service in Vietnam. While in the Air Force he was a weather forecaster and finished his career with the National Weather Service. A memorial is being planned for interment of ashes at a veteran's cemetery near Houston.
