Milton Edward Baasen departed this life on November 8, 2012 and was born May 21, 1931. A very kind, warm-hearted person with a smile for everyone, he will be greatly missed. As a believer in the Christian faith, he has joined his parents Mr. & Mrs. Edward Baasen and his wife of 42 years, Dorris. In his early years, he was employed by Mrs. Baird's Bread and retired after over 35 years with Continental Can Co. After retiring, he was employed as a security guard at various locations including Baker Hughes. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers and served in the Korean Conflict where he was involved in building the Freedom Gate Bridge. Survivors who will mourn his loss are his sister, Irene P. Baasen: sons, Milton E. Baasen, Jr., & wife Nicole & stepson, Cody and Michael R. Baasen: grandsons, Milton E. Baasen III & wife Kelly and Steven Baasen; great-grandsons, Kopen & Hunter Baasen. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM, Monday, November 12, 2012 and funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 with interment to follow.
