Marion Elizabeth (Stolz) Redman 92, of The Woodlands, Texas (formerly of La Grange), passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013. Marion was born in Beaumont, Texas on July 15, 1920, the daughter of the late L. W. Stolz, Sr. and Agnes (Frede) Stolz.
Marion graduated from La Grange High School. She enrolled at the University of Texas where she met her future husband, William C. "Clark" Redman, Sr. Marion and Clark married on September 2, 1939 in La Grange, Texas before moving to Bellaire and then eventually to Spring Branch where Clark opened one of the first dry cleaning plants in the area.
Marion not only was a support to her family over the years, but she was also a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons: William C. Redman II and wife, Deborah, of Spring, Texas and Robert C. Redman of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Dr. Carolyn Redman and husband, Dr. Stephen L. George, of Durham, N.C.; one brother, L. W. "Sonny" Stolz of La Grange, Texas; and one sister, Leola Carr of Bryn Mawr, P.A.; two grandchildren: Jessica Nicholson and Jacquelyn Renneberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Clark, of 44 years.
Visitation will be held on will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013.
