Born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Bud grew up in Phillips, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Carolyn, at age 12. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, Bud served in the U.S. Air Force before attending the University of Texas Law School. He practiced law at Vinson & Elkins for nearly 40 years.
Bud's passions were his faith and family. He led the charge and cheered on his family at all recreational and academic events. His voice will be missed at fields and courts throughout Texas.
Services to celebrate Bud's life and legacy will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Houston's First Baptist Church. Any contributions may be given to Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch.
