Henry Lee Spencer Jr. was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Emma and Henry Lee Spencer Sr. Sonny (succumbed from a ruptured hernia) went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2013. The first time my puddin told me he loved me he spoke in German, Ich Liebe Dich. As your wife of 23 years, I Joy Leverett Spencer will celebrate your life forever. My husband loved God and the Scriptures. US Airforce Sgt. Henry L. Spencer served in 19 countries. Spencer also worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority, Memphis Light Gas and Water, M.D. Anderson Hospital and Debakey Houston VA Hospital. Spencer served on the Board of Directors for Think Art, Inc. for 20 years.
Special Thanks to our Lakewood Church family, Ministers of Music Michael and Fiona, Stephan, DaK, and Sis. Vivian. Thank you Minister Pamela Faye for your love and support. God Bless you Mother Dodie for your powerful prayers gave me years with my husband instead of the months predicted by Cancer doctors.
Thank you to (the late) Joyce Marie (Prince) Jones , Bobby Jones , Ricky Prince, Joe and Louie, Fallen Angel (Katrina) and Vet Center Dave Caldwell for being our family. Thank you to the staff at Crestwood Suites for putting a smile on my husband's face every morning as he drank Rosie, Malcolm, Kerry and Kerston's coffee.
Come celebrate a life well lived on Friday, April 5th, 2:30 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Officiating will be Minister Marcel Aguilar of Lakewood Church Joel Olsteen Ministries.
