KENNETH CALDWELL BARNETT age 46, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013, at his home in Richmond, Texas. Ken was born in Houston to Robert Caldwell and Betty Eltonette Brister Barnett. He graduated from Alief Hastings High School in 1985 with the distinguished honor of Magna Cum Laude. He then entered advanced studies at Rice University, The University of North Texas, and The University of Houston. In 1996, Ken earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Computer Engineering Technology. In June, 1997, he started his tenure with AT&T as a Communications Technician. During his 16 years with AT&T, he was a great asset to the company. He was reliable and well-known for his expertise and attention to detail. He was not only a valued employee but was considered family to those who worked closely with him. Ken enjoyed many hobbies, including singing and recording karaoke songs, playing chess and cards, and riding his jet ski. Most of all, Ken liked just being with his family and close friends enjoying good times together. Ken is preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert and Betty. Ken is survived by his loving sisters and brother, Carolyn Barnett, Mark Barnett (Cyndy), Ann Barnett, and Robin Barnett Hughes (John), as well as nieces and nephews Sarah, Curtis, Elizabeth, Marianna, Kendall, Meredith and Allison. He is also survived by many special friends, most notably Chris Rundell (cousin) and Dean Carlson.
