The Honorable Charles M. Coussons, was born on September 25, 1928 in Lufkin, Texas and went to be with our Lord on June 30, 2013 in Houston, Texas.
He was in The United States Marine Corps and served honorably in the Korean War. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin College, earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law, and was active in politics. He was a member of the State Bar of Texas and was an attorney for over fifty years, with 19 of those years spent as a Harris County Judge. He was a member of The Houston Bar Association, South Texas College of Law Alumni Association, Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, and The World Affairs Council of Houston.
Charles loved and collected music and books, and also loved history and travel. He supported numerous charities and organizations with sincere generosity over the years. He was a kind and loving friend to many, always lending a helping hand when it was needed most.
That kind spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him, especially his loving wife, Mary Ann Coussons, beloved stepdaughter and son-in-law, Donna and Phil Svec, beloved grandsons, Nicolas Svec and Brody Svec, and countless friends and family who continue to cherish his memory in life.
