Laurence James (Larry) Ray, born April 25, 1926, he passed away August 3, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Larry grew up in Brooklyn, New York with his parents George and Minnie (Block) Ray and older brother Arthur.

After marrying the love of his life, Frances Greenberg (who preceded him in death), they traveled from Brooklyn to Houston, Texas where they settled and raised their family. They shared 60 wonderful years together in Houston enjoying good friends, good food and good times. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father to Jami (Jim) and Dani (Gene) and a terrific Grandpa, quite proud of his grandchildren Aaron & Ann, Lauren & Mark, Elyse, Alex & Erika, Gia, and Miccah.
An army veteran of WWII, he worked for Weiner's department stores in several different positions for 44 years, retiring as the well-respected and highly regarded Men's & Boy's Clothing Buyer. Handsome, charming, and a natty dresser...everybody liked Larry Ray. He was a kind and gentle person who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
