Alvin Hons Obituary

Alvin J. Hons, 72, of Richmond, was born November 18, 1940 in Houston to Frank Anton Hons and Adel Marie (Darilek) Hons. He passed away September 27, 2013 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.
Al is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Adel Hons and his step daughter, Betty Jean Teeple.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Hons; children, Debbie Walsh and husband, John and Nancy Doverspike; step children, Steven Teeple and wife, Sylvia and John Teeple; siblings, Frank E. Hons and wife, Margaret and Kathy Metcalf and husband, Bobby; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews; along with other family members and many friends.
For those wishing, donations may be made in memory of Al to The American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
Service arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B. F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, Texas, 77471, 281-341-8800, www.davisgreenlawnfh.com.

I only knew Al as a Facebook Friend, however I always enjoyed reading his posts with his great sense of humor and was very sad to hear of his passing. He is missed very much. Al's birthday was only one week away from mine, same year!

So very sorry to hear of Al's passing. I met Al through Classmates and enjoyed his delightful sense of humor. He will certainly be missed. So sorry for your loss.
