Delores Otte Obituary
Delores (Dee) Lorraine Otte , surrounded by her loving family, was peacefully called Home on October 27, 2013. She was born April 11, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri to Della and Theodore Wiesehan. Dee graduated from St. John's College in Winfield, Kansas where she met her husband, Bob Otte. She later received her teaching degree from the University of Houston. Dee did her most rewarding work raising her 3 children and teaching. She was an elementary school teacher for 30 years in Pasadena ISD. Dee was strong in her faith and deeply loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Theodore (Bud) Wiesehan. She is survived by her daughter, Carmen Bottoms and husband, Ron; son, Robert Otte and wife, Carol; son, Kurt Otte and wife, Cheryl; twelve grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dee touched many hearts and lives and will be deeply missed by all. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, November 1 at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster. They will be a Celebration of Dee's Life at 10 am, Saturday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Rd, Nassau Bay followed by lunch for family and friends. Dee will be laid to rest at 1 pm, Saturday in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In loving memory of Dee, memorials may be made to Compassion International, a Christian child sponsorship organization dedicated to the long-term development of children living in poverty around the world.
