Obituary Condolences

Fred Court Sellers, Sr. joined his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ in heaven November 4, 2013. Born January 19, 1924 he lived most of his life in Houston. He is survived by his beloved, adoring wife of 71 years Ray Aucoin Sellers, daughter & husband Shari & Daryl Jackson, granddaughter & husband Kristen & Patrick Reitmeyer, grandson & wife Chad & Lindley Jackson, great grandsons Jackson & Augustus Reitmeyer & Luke, Charlie, Miles & Way Jackson. He is preceded in death by loved son Fred Court Sellers, Jr.
Fred met the love of his life Ray at a church picnic in December, 1941. They were married the following October 24 & began a glorious & joyful life together for the next 71 years. They have spent their marriage lovingly walking hand-in-hand as a role model of committed & beautiful marriage.
A committed Christian, Fred served God throughout his life as Deacon, officer, leader & teacher. He chaired & was an active member of South Main Baptist Church Missions Committee, active in founding numerous church plantings. Fred & Ray led & hosted in-home Bible studies continuing to growing together sharing their love of the Lord.
During WWII Fred served his country before returning home becoming a respected CPA receiving high honors of achievement. He was awarded Certificate of Recognition by Texas Board of Public Accountancy for his 54 years as a CPA. Noted for his integrity & honesty, he held leadership roles in Optimist & Rotary Clubs.
Visitation Sunday, 4-6 and Graveside service Monday, November 11 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 9am. Memorial service & Reception will follow at 11am South Main Baptist Church to celebrate his life.
