Edward Ayers Obituary

Edward Leach Ayers, 88, of Pasadena, formerly of Channelview, Texas, passed from this life on Sept. 7, 2014 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born August 28, 1926 in Caldwell, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. during World War II. He retired from Southwestern Bell in 1984 after 37 years of service. He was a past master with the C.A. Fortner Masonic Lodge #1304. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Anne Ayers; by son, Randall E. Ayers & wife, Brenda; Karen Cox, Lea Margaret Jeter, Denise Ayers; step-son, Stephen T. Fitch & wife, Vivian; as well as by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening at Carter Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Services celebrating his life will be Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Carter's Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas at 2:30 p.m. under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
