I miss Latifa always being available to talk to us about our conflicts with guardianship abuse. She was just great and I appreciated the great experiences she provided me by accompanying her to Congressional meetings in Washington DC. She respected me and I respected her. I wish her daughter and husband the best and hope we can stay in touch. What a shock Latifa's passing was for me.

Latifa was very special. It was only by having her with me, that I was able to carry on and fight my best in the struggle for the human rights of the elderly.

I learn this overwhelming sad information by accident. I am inconsolable. I traveled with her for the guardianship issues and know how sharp and magnificent she was. I am inconsolable. Hello to Lisa, her daughter....Kim Baudry and Richard Half

I knew Latifa as a genuinely sincere soul and advocate who cared deeply for the plight of the elderly and disabled under court appointed guardianship. May she rest in peace knowing that she did indeed make a difference for the good of many.

I still remember Latifa very clearly as a sweet-faced 12 year-old with long braids who used to visit AL with her sisters and her Mom Mary. It has been good to see something of her activities and family on the internet in recent years, and I feel very sad for her husband, son, daughter, grandchild, siblings, wider family, and the many who fought alongside her in her battles on behalf of vulnerable folk. May God console and strengthen you now and in the future.

I would like to offer my sympathy on the passing of Latifa. She was a good friend of mine. I have fond memories of the two of us getting together either at the Haven or at our home when we were growing up. She was also a good sister to her siblings and went to great lengths to stand up for her beliefs. I know she will be missed. I will be thinking and praying for for you in the difficult days and weeks ahead.

The cause has lost a brave, effective, and fearless warrior. I have lost a precious and deeply cherished friend.

Latifa, I'll miss your endless kinetic energy, your ability to schmooze those who need schmoozing, your late night (into the wee morning hours) conversations, and, especially, your grasshopper stories.

Those of us who knew and loved you will take up the banner and renew the fight against guardianship abuse with new energy, in your honor.
