To my cousins, children of Uncle Bert,

I am sorry for the loss of your father. I can still hear his laughter and see his smiling face. I wish I could have been there to grieve with you. He is missed by all of us. May God bless you and keep you strong.

Uncle Bert,

Though I have years of pleasant memories the ones I will cherish most are the most recent when you treated my two sons as if they were your grandchildren. They enjoyed your company and will miss you as we all will.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God

Bert Cerda was a very special person. He always did so much for others and cut himself short. Bert will always be in our hearts. My deepest sympathy to all of his family. He might have departed the earth but his spirit will remain eternally.

In death, as in life, my father continues to give us strength to carry on and do what is right. We are what we are because of him, and always will be. We can only hope to be able to pass on the same guidance and values to our own children that my father gave to us.

I love you Dad and will always miss you,

James
