i lived in texas with my mom and i rode the bus home with brent well he was a great kid and he always had a smile on his face no matter what i remember he got on the bus and and always had on a really big smile and you could not help but to smile i remember the last day i was on the bus b/c i was moving to idaho and he gave em a hug and a kiss on the cheek and said you¨re going to back next year to watch my games and stuff and i said of course and now i will never get to do that i will always miss him and i wish i got to say one last good bye becasue he was the sweetest and the most undeserving to have something of that degree happen to him and i am so so sorry for your loss mr. and mrs. dunlap i really miss him i found out and i could not stop crying i couldn´t believe that would happen to brent and i will always wish i could´ve gotten to say my one last goodbye and i will always have him in my heart

To Brent-
I can’t remember a time when you weren’t special to me.
We’ve been friends since we were five, Garrick and you were learning to “fight” for play, but not to stay alive.
How could this be, that you were taken away from your family, friends, and me. So young and full of life, Miss Polly and Mom always teased me that someday I’d be your wife.
You were my first love, so pure and so true. How could your life be taken from you?
I remember our first note, the way I felt inside, oh how I wish you were still alive.
I rushed home to tell my Mom, she just smiled and said, ”it’s about time!”
Oh the fun we have had “going out,” talking and sharing secret thoughts, playing, and laughing.
Discovering how special those “firsts” that young love can bring.
I’m sure that you know how special you will always be and how much our love has meant to me.
Although you are gone, you’ll never be far, because my heart holds so many memories and thoughts that we have shared. I hope you know how much I care.
I’ll talk to you often deep within my heart. But where do I start? So many things left unsaid, so many tears left to shed.
You will always be my special love, God made sure of that from above. Now you are there “angelic”, I’m sure, looking after your family.
Just remember that I’ll be here to help you look after Miss Polly and Mr. Tim. We’ll talk of you often, the memories now are all that we have.
And when our time comes, I’m sure you’ll be waiting at that lofty gate for us to see that your purpose in life was to be fulfilled from above.

I am very sorry about Brent. I think about all the good times we had. That does help. I can not explain my emotions in words but let me tell you, Brent and I were like brothers. We both had February birthdays and had the same blood-type: B&F. Baseball and frendship. I will tell you I will miss him and both of you out at the ball park and that I will play my heart out for him and you. Atleast I know one thing. He's an angel in the outfield.

I am so sorry for you lost. I was with Rachel Troth ( brent cousin) when she found out. I never meet Brent but i wish i have because he seems like a wonderful young boy.I have heard awesome things about them. May he rest in peace, and always be remembered!

Please accept our sincerest sympathy for your loss. Our youngest daughter, Jessi, we to school at Austin with Brent. My wife was his 1st communion teacher at Sacred Heart. I regret to have only know Brent as the boy always playing in the cul-de-sac. I have known Frank for years and consider him a good fiend. even though I only new Brent mainly from the bus and saw him a few times in the hall i thought that he was a good friend to have around i looked forward to seeing him sittin their everyday when we were sad he knew how to cheer us up with his joy and on that bus he became so respected by many people he was the only 6th grader that the high school let sit in the back i will always miss his smile everyday and how he never came on that bus with out one everyday i think thats seat in the back seems so empty without Brent their he always had somthin to say i will always have him in my heart and miss him

I taught Brent CCE last year and I wanted to tell you a few observations about him. He was above all charismatic. As i heard at the visitation the smirk was there, and he showed it often. Though no matter what I asked of him he did what was asked and did it with his own style. Never once did he not write more than was assigned. He was a joy to have as a student and I will always remember him.
