Hoge, Lois M.
Lois M. Hoge, 85, died on Monday, December 24, 2012, in Naperville, IL, where she had recently relocated from Manitowoc, to be near family.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Reverend Eric W. Kolonich will officiate.
Lois was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, on November 2, 1927, daughter of the late Lillian and Louis Bruechert. She attended schools in Manitowoc, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1946. Lois married John F. (Jack) Hoge on April 7, 1951. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2007. In addition to being a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother, Lois had been a local tennis competitor for 40 plus years. She also had been a long-time active member in Redeemer Lutheran Church, P.E.O., and other service organizations in Manitowoc.
She is survived by her children, daughter Lynn (James) Panosh,Naperville, IL; sons, John L. (Leslie) Hoge, Seattle, WA; and Steven (Sara) Hoge, Minneapolis, MN; and daughter, Susan (James) Dunemann (Rochester, MN), and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Lois' sister, Jeanine Herzog, and many nieces and nephews survive. Four sisters, Lillian, Dorothy, Eleanor, Loraine, and her only brother, Fred, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be at the church at 1:30 p.m., with a Memorial service at 2:30, and a reception to follow. The interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 14. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.

We are so sorry for the loss of your dear mother. She was a beautiful and kind lady. Many wonderful memories of all the families in the old Wisconsin Ave. neighborhood.
