McDonell, Joseph (Terry)
Joseph (Terry) McDonell, age 67, of 5034 Vista Road, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, January 31, 2013 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 8, 1945 in Green Bay, son of the late Robert J. and Josephine (Stadelman) McDonell. Joe was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1964. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army on July 7, 1964 serving in Germany for two years. He was honorably discharged in June of 1967 with the rank of SP-5. On October 21, 1967 he married the former Beverlea Blashka at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple celebrated 45 years of marriage. He was employed with Manitowoc Shipbuilding for many years until his retirement in 2005. Joe was a proud member of The National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife: Beverlea, Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law: Tracy & Dan Pahmeier, Manitowoc; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Jerry McDonell, Wheeler, WI, Pete & Carol McDonell, Lansing, MI, Paul McDonell & Kathy Hubbard, Wheeler, WI; and a sister and brother-in-law: Charmaine & Doug Frisch, Whitelaw. Also surviving is his grand dog, Max, and his grand cockatiel, Gabriel, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Scott McDonell; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Cyril A. And Bernice Blashka.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 5:00 p.m.until 7:00 p.m. at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th Street, Manitowoc.

Joe was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed the birds and backyard squirrels, feeding them daily.
