Alice Elsie (Rogne) Schaeuble, age 89, formerly of rural Reedsville, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, WI.
Alice was born March 16, 1923 at home in Brown County. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Elsie (Glawe) Rogne. She graduated from East DePere High School, class of 1942. On November 16, 1946, she married Orville H. Schaeuble at Zion Lutheran Church in Shirley, WI. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2008. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Valders where she taught Sunday school, led bible study and was a past president of the ladies aide.
She is survived by five children: Sharon Rauber, Donald (Virginia) Schaeuble, Richard Schaeuble, Sonja (Daryl) Gilbertson, and Shelia (Stephen) Kalies; 12 grandchildren: Barb Rauber, Tad (Jill) Rauber, Gina (special friend Mark Steffen) Gilbertson, Erika Schaeuble, DJ Schaeuble, Brian (fiancée Jen) Schaeuble, Marc (Kris) Schaeuble, Samantha (fiancé Dusty) Schaeuble, Michelle (Levi) Bratt, Kari Gilbertson, Justin Kalies, Benjamin Kalies; ten great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Lois (special friend John) Landvatter, Ruth (Barney) Opliger and Wendy (Mark) Hoefert; two brothers and four sister-in-law: Carl Rogne and Ted (Jan) Rogne, Marie Ayers, Kay Rogne and Karen Rogne. Alice is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Orville, a grandson: Lee Rauber, one sister and brother-in-law: June (Elton) Sonnabend; two brothers: David Rogne, Phillip Rogne; eight brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law: Gordy Schaeuble, Evelyn Schaeuble, Edith (Joe) Velicer, Pat (Judy) Schaeuble, Carlton (Regina) Schaeuble, Ruth (Bill) Guerts, Ilene (Hugo) Wendt, and Bill Ayers.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. Officiating will be the Rev. James Rasmus. Entombment will be at Knollwood Memorial Park, town of Kossuth.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

Alice was a very big part of our lives and family always came first for her. She was a supportive mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and always had time to listen.

Sorry to hear about Alice. What a nice lady she was. My Mom, Bernice VanEss, enjoyed sitting with her at the dining table at the Health Care Center. She always enjoyed talking with her. Now Alice and Mom can visit together with the angels.
