Belongia, Laraine B. Laraine B. Belongia, age 89, of Manitowoc, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, early Sunday morning, September 18, 2016 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc. Laraine was born on November 23, 1926 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Popelar) Husar. Laraine attended local area schools graduating with the class of 1945 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On May 17, 1947, she married Everett Belongia at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1991. Laraine was a secretary and bookkeeper for many companies in Manitowoc until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Daughters of Isabella and enjoyed reading. She is survived by two children: Bonnie (Edward) Herrmann, Batavia, IL; James (Kerry) Belongia, Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Jason (Maria) Herrmann, IL; Abbie (Michael) Fisher, IL; Erich Belongia and his fiancée: Lisa Beaudoin and her son: Chase, WI; Brad (Amanda) Belongia, WI; nine great-grandchildren: Zachary Tector; Olivia, Lupe, Ella and Sela Herrmann; Alayna and Cullen Fisher; Paige and Raegan Belongia; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Mae Husar; Pearl Meisner; Viola Belongia; Ralph Belongia, all of Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Everett; one daughter: Margaret "Peggy" Belongia; two grandchildren: Thomas and Nancy Herrmann; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Lillian Hebel; Java (Chick) Shimek; Marge (Alvin) Bauman; six brothers and three sisters-in-law: Don Husar; Victor Husar; Clarence Husar; Ray (Lollie) Pech; Elmer (Helen) Pech; John (Mary) Pech. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. Rev. David Beaudry will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial, with burial at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements. Berger, Dolores T. Dolores T. Berger, age 93, formerly of 704 S. 28th Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday evening, September 22, 2016 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc. She was born on August 8, 1923 in Liberty, daughter of the late William and Blanch (Schnettler) Willmas. On October 31, 1949 she married Clarence Berger at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2008. Dolores enjoyed playing cards, babysitting, cooking and also making family meals. Survivors include one son: Thomas Berger; two daughters and sons-in-law: Vicki & Jim Karbon, Eileen & Randy Junk, all of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Christopher Berger, Craig Berger, Andy Karbon & special friend Julie, Scott (Carrie) Karbon, Kristin (Scott) Flood, Jason Junk, Casey (Alisha) Junk; five great grandchildren: Desmond, Max, Zoey, William, Skylar; and two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Gintner, Manitowoc and Rosie Willmas, St. Nazianz. She was also preceded in death by four sisters: Marie Pfeifer, Bernadett Mrotek, Rita Combs, Angie Broeckert; and a brother: Don Willmas. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Deacon Steve Zimmer with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc, at a later date. Dax, Nathan A.  
Dax, Nathan A. Nathan A. Dax, 25, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 24, 2016 due to heart complications after a long, hard battle against Muscular Dystrophy. He was born in Green Bay on Feb. 4, 1991 to Joseph and Joan (Kraynik) Dax. Nathan graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 2009 and UW-Oshkosh in 2013 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He was employed at Schneider National for 2 ½ years. Nathan was a member of the Titletown Bass Assassins and he was president and helped develop the UW-Oshkosh Fishing Club. Survivors include the love of his life, Katie Bieda; his mother, Joan Dax; his father, Joe Dax and special friend, Cindy Konop; brothers, Nicholas (Holly) Dax; Joe M. Dax; sister, Cassandra Dax; grandparents, Janice Kraynik; Joe (Sue) Dax; great grandparent, Grace Allen; god parents, Ann Dax; Tony Kraynik; god daughter, Aria Witczak; special friends, Jake Mellen, Justin Key, Adam Stuiber, Nick Biffert and so many more. Further survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Duellman, Albertha "Bert" D. Albertha "Bert" D. Duellman, age 88, a Two Rivers residence, died Monday, September 19, 2016 at her residence. She was born on June 26, 1928 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Walter and Clara (Becker) Osieczanek. On June 28, 1947 she married Jerome I. Duellman at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2011. Bert enjoyed reading, word search and bingo. She was known as the "Crazy Sock Lady" for her colorful socks that she always wore. Survivors include three daughters: Lisa Duellman, Hartland, Kim Pagel, Manitowoc, Cathy Duellman, Albuquerque, NM; three sons and one daughter-in-law: John & Arda Duellman, Keith Duellman, Dean Duellman, all of Manitowoc; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Allen & Connie Osieczanek, Colorado, Marion Osieczanek, Colorado; two brothers-in-law: Phil Tudor, Florida, Edward Duellman, Cleveland; and three sisters-in-law: Arlene Miller, Riverside, CA., Janice Wagner, Manitowoc and Shirley Osieczanek, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one son: Jeffery Duellman in 1972, a son-in-law: Larry Pagel; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Alvin and Carol Osieczanek, Arthur Osieczanek; and two sisters and one brother-in-law: Georgianna and Hilary Becker and Cele Tudor. Fredell, Barbara N. Barbara N. Fredell, age 74, of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Barb was born September 3, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of the late Milton and Shirley Wilder. She was a graduate of East Moline Township High School with the class of 1960. On March 16, 1962 she married Gary Fredell in Moline, Illinois. Barb was a CNA at the Hamilton Home in Two Rivers for many years until her retirement. Barb and Gary spend their summers in Wisconsin and their winters in Florida. She enjoyed cooking, golfing, spending time with family, ceramics, animals, crafts, was a member of the Red Hats, and was very big on tradition. Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years: Gary Fredell, Two Rivers; three daughters and sons-in-law: Dawn and Steve Brefczynski, Fairbanks, Alaska, Terri and Gerald Schreck, Menasha, Wisconsin, Vicki and Larry Stock, Two Rivers, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren: Brandon, Jenna, Brette, Brianna, Danica, Morgan and Trevor; seven great grandchildren; her cat: Snowball; brother and sisters: Jim and Loretta Kilts, Judy and Ralph Conner, Nellie and Duane Goderis, Cindy and Chuck Sanders, Sherry and Ed VanWychen, Babbette and Jim Anderson; one sister-in-law: Jean Rasmussen. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Barbara was also preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Kilts and Steven Wilder. Cremation has occurred at All Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and funeral services for Barb will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, 1420 22nd Street, Two Rivers. Officiating at the memorial service will be Deacon Paul Gleichner. A private family burial of Barb's cremated remains will be held at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Freix, Ruth  
Freix, Ruth Ruth W. (Koch) Freix, 83, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Ruth was born July 28, 1933, in Berlin, Germany, to the late Rev. Dr. Henry A. Koch and Marie (Friedrichs) Koch. She graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1951. After high school Ruth graduated from the Milwaukee School of Nursing in 1954, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 1955. In 1983 Ruth married Arthur Freix. She retired from nursing at Bellin Hospital in 1985. Ruth was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church since 1983, serving with the Ladies Aid. After her retirement Ruth enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband. She is survived by brothers and sisters, Rev. Henry F. (Judith) Koch, Elisabeth (Donald) Knuth; step daughters, Patricia (Richard) Martin, and Susan (Art) Schmidt; two grandchildren, Noah and Dara. Ruth is further survived by her nieces and nephews, whom she considered to be her children: Donald (Suzanne) Knuth, Karen, (James) Grunwald, David Knuth, Katherine (Rev. Paul) Waldek, Kay Lynn Knuth, Susan (Thomas) Phelps, Rev. Henry T. (Cynthia) Koch, and Katherine (Rev. Phillip) Enderle; along with many great grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 2014. Friends may call at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 514 S. Clay St., Green Bay, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. Pastor John Zabell presiding. Lemmens, Darrell R.  
Lemmens, Darrell R. Darrell R. Lemmens, age 72, of Denmark, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 22, 2016. The son of George R. Lemmens and Lorraine C. (VandenLangenberg) Lemmens was born March 3, 1944 in Green Bay. He graduated from Denmark High School in 1962, and served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1966 until 1971. On September 19, 1970, Darrell married Jane E. McCauley at St. Matthew Catholic Church. His banking career started at Kellogg-Citizens National Bank and then Denmark State Bank in 1969. Darrell became president and chairman of the board of directors for Denmark State Bank and Denmark Bancshares, Inc; where he also served as a member of the Audit, Compensation and Loan Committees for the bank. Darrell had a long history of involvement in the community. He served as chairman of the board, vice-president and director of the McDonald-Zeamer Insurance Agency and was chairman/vice-president of Denmark Agricultural Credit Corp. As an active member of the Demark Lions Club, Darrell served as treasurer for 10 years, was honored with the Melvin Jones Award (the highest honor in Lions) and achieved 10 years of perfect attendance. In addition to being a lifetime member of the Denmark Gun Club, he was a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and a member of the ATA (Amateur Trapshooting Association). Darrell was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Denmark, where he served on the Father Dionne Endowment Fund Committee and as a liaison for the Salvation Army. He also played/managed the Military Golfland's premier fast pitch softball team, having played in 4 ISC World Tournaments. Survivors include his loving wife Jane Eleanor (McCauley) Lemmens; three wonderful children and their spouses: Ellen (Matt) Goetsch and their children Emilia, Elizabeth and Jonah, Alison (special friend Andrew Rogers) Lemmens and Bryan (Julie) Lemmens and their children Jacob and Nathan; brothers: Roger (Pam) Lemmens and Kenneth (special friend Nancy Moe) Lemmens. He is further survived by his Aunt Dorothy Lemmens, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Lorraine and George Lemmens, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Eleanor (Kwitek) and Robert (Mac) McCauley, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends may pay their respects at Cotter Funeral Home- Denmark Chapel, 536 County Road R, Denmark, on Monday, September 26, from 4-8 pm, with a prayer service to conclude the evening. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. Friends are then requested to meet at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark for an 11:00 am mass with Fr. Bill O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. Our family would like to thank the caregivers in the Bellin Health ICU and Dr. Mortara for their compassion and care given.
