Dassow, Lyle  
Lyle Donald Dassow Lyle Dassow of Sheboygan, formerly of Manitowoc, was born on July 10, 1934 to the late Norbert and Vernice Dassow and passed away on November 21, 2014 at the age of 80. He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School. On July 9, 1955 he was united in marriage with Barbara Wagner in Sheboygan. Lyle was employed by the Manitowoc Company for 40 years and worked as supervisor of data processing before his retirement on July 18, 1996. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, racing, football and was also a part of the TD Race Team. Lyle is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Michael (Carol) Dassow of West Bend; daughter, Vicki (Jim) Pokorny; grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan) Wehse, Alex (significant other Maria Ramirez) Bennington, Travis (Kelsey) Dassow and Trevor Dassow and sister, Bonnie (David) Adamavich. He is further survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Vernice and brother, Thomas Dassow. Visitation will be held at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St. Sheboygan, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St. Sheboygan, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Dempski, Gerald  
Dempski, Gerald J. Gerald J. Dempski, age 71, a Plymouth resident, died Sunday evening, November 16, 2014 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls. He was born on September 15, 1943 in Manitowoc, son of the late Daniel & Anita (Fidler) Dempski. Jerry was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1962. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving from 1962 to 1965. On October 5, 1968 he married the former Mary Sue Dubey at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Jerry started his employment with Manitowoc Landscaping and Manitowoc Shipbuilding. He was then employed with the Department of Public Works for 27 years, retiring in 2001 as assistant superintendent. Jerry's passion was fishing, deer hunting and cherished his time with family. He started fishing on the South pier with a bamboo pole for perch and he never stopped from there. He also won the prize for the most fishing baits. Jerry owned the Proud Mary Fishing Charter Service in Manitowoc for many years. He was active in N.E.W. Great Lakes Sports Fishermen Association. After retirement, he owned and operated East Winds Landscaping Lawn Service from 2001 until 2010. Survivors include his wife: Mary Dempski, Plymouth; a son and daughter-in-law: Corey & Shari Dempski, Sussex; two granddaughters: Ashley & Julia Dempski; a sister and brother-in-law: Nancy & Ron Oestreich, Manitowoc; a brother: Keith Dempski, North Carolina; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Jean & Richard Peppard, Green Bay. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall (1114 South 21st Street) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Mass will be the Rev. Dave Pleier, with entombment of the cremated remains at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc, at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall (1114 South 21st Street) Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting The Pfeffer Funeral Home & All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family wishes to extend a thank you to Froedert Cancer Medical Center for the care extended to Jerry. Also, a special thank to Dr. Katie Bylow, who is not only a physician, but a friend and a beautiful soul. The family would also like to extend their appreciation to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their wonderful care and concern. Lastly, to Bob Hablewitz, who was always there for Mr. D.
