Tisler, Ruth  
Ruth Anna Tisler, age 66 of Reedsville, died on April 9th, 2015, at her home. Ruth was diagnosed with ALS and she bravely faced the debilitating effects of this disease. Ruth was born February 4, 1949 in Green Bay to Florence (Konken) Beyer and the late Walter Beyer. Ruth's faith was strong and she was confirmed in Christ in 1963 at Morrison Zion Lutheran church where she had been a member for most of her life. In 1967 she graduated from Wrightstown High School. On March 23, 1968 she married the love of her life Richard James Tisler. Over the years she has worked at Fort Howard, The Manor, Bilotti's Pizza Garden, Kabats Country Gardens, Pranges/Younkers, and Endries. Ruth retired to provide care giving for her grandchildren. Ruth had a green thumb and loved to tend to her garden, flower beds, and plants. She was skilled in sewing and sewed everything from clothes to curtains. She had a passion for food from canning to cooking, and she always had the best recipes. She was devoted to volunteering her time as a school librarian, making and serving soup suppers, serving on the Sheriff's Department ladies auxiliary and church committees. Daily she read her bible and meditations and her faith continued to be in the forefront of her life. Her family was her pride and joy. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Richard; her mother: Florence Beyer; their children: Dawn Tisler-Vaughn, Richard (special friend Carrie Kasper) Tisler, and Andrea (Carl) Mueller; grandchildren: Emily and Evan Vaughn; sisters and brothers: Mary Beyer, Alice (William) Lasee, Karen Jerovetz, Alvin (Marcia) Beyer, Linda Bodart, Ronald (Cindy) Beyer, Wayne ("Squirrel") Beyer, Judy Beyer, Jean (Richard) Borchardt, Jane (David) Hockers, John (Amy) Beyer, Jean (Richard) Borchardt, Jane (David) Hockers, John (Amy) Beyer, Edward Beyer, Amy (Jack) Van Iten; her in-laws: Dennis (Sandy) Vogels, Helen Belonger, Mary Ann and Denny Weller, Elroy and Judy Tisler; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her father: Walter, father-in-law and mother in law: Lester and Mary Tisler, sister: LiLene Vogels, brother: Herbert Beyer, brothers-in-law: Ken Tisler and Donald Belonger, niece: Jennifer Kollman, and nephew: Bryan Beyer. Friends may call at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church, 7395 County Road W, Greenleaf on Friday evening, April 17, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning, April 18, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at church. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Ott with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be made. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated. We would like to give thanks to all the people who have thought of her often, visited, and prayed for her well being. We would also like to give a special thank you to the Pastor Ott, Aurora Homecare nurses and therapist, Dr. Napier, Dr. Mendoza, Dr. Teehan, the staff who worked with her at Aurora Bay Care, and The ALS Association.

Trottier, Joyce L. Joyce L. Trottier, age 86, a Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center. The former Joyce L. Hooven was born on May 8, 1928 in Elyria, OH, daughter of the late Cecil and Theresa (Bach) Hooven. Joyce attended schools in Elyria, OH and graduated from Clearview High School. Survivors include her 3 children: Scott (Judy) Trottier, Amherst, OH, and their 3 children: David, Jenny, Stacey (Chris) and their children: Krista, Taylor and Austin; Bonnie Meyer, Denver, CO, and her children: Aaron, Casey, Chris and Phil (Cassie) and their children: Trevor and Gavin; Toni (Ron) Nicklaus, Manitowoc, WI, and their children: Colt, Danielle (Cody) and their child: Ella; Ben (Codie) and their unborn baby: Terceira and RJ (Megan) and their child: Abel; 1 niece: Deb (Frank) Lewandowski and their children: Joey and Emily; 3 nephews: Alan Trottier; Jeff (Janine) Trottier and their children: Jill, Matt and Jefferey; Don (Liya) Boyer and their children: David and Sophie, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Cecil and Theresa Hooven; 1 daughter: Pam Trottier; 1 son: Charles Trottier; father of her children: Charles "Dick" Trottier; 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law: Delores Hooven; Mary Lou (Clete) Boyer. Private services will be held at a later date in OH where Joyce will be laid to rest with her daughter Pam. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory of the donor's choice. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. Taylor, Barbara Smith  
Taylor, Barbara Smith Barbara Smith Taylor, age 85, a resident of Northland Lodge, died on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Northland Lodge in Two Rivers. Barbara was born January 14, 1930 in Two Rivers, WI, daughter of Robert and Eda Winn. She attended Washington Grade and High School as well as Stout University. On October 9, 1948 she married Robert L. Smith at First Presbyterian Church in Menominee, MI and was married 44 years. Robert preceded her in death March 6, 1993. She enjoyed being active at Grace Congregational Church. She served the church as an usher, greeter, and historian. She also belonged to the Ladies Circle, helped at Hamilton Care Center, and delivered meals-on-wheels for many years. She was employed as a bookkeeper at the Red Owl Grocery Store in Two Rivers. In her spare time she was an accomplished cross stitcher and loved baking cookies. She later married Donald Taylor and was married for 15 years. Barbara is survived by children: Dale (Pat) Smith, Christine (Frank) Bauknecht, Scott (Linda) Smith, and son-in-law Ron Bergene. Four step-daughters survive: Barbara J. Taylor, Susan (Jim) Rasmussen, Betty (Joe Augustine), and Janice (Greg) Rabas; surviving granddaughters include: Andrea Smith, Nicole (Rick) Juedes, Danielle Bergene, Amanda (Eric) Sitkiewicz, and Megan Smith; surviving grandsons: Matt (Carla) Smith, Tim Bauknecht (Nicole Gardner), Chad (Mindy) Bauknecht, and Jacob Smith. She is also survived by five great-granddaughters, Hannah Bauknecht, Addison Bauknecht, Margaret Smith, Elinore Smith, and Madeline Coffman. Barbara is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her dear daughter Marcia Bergene, her sister Betty Evrard, her parents, and first husband Bob. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, 2801 Garfield St., Two Rivers. Pastor Kim Henning and Pastor Colie Bettivia will officiate at the service, with burial in Pioneer Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers. The family will greet friends and relatives at Grace Congregational Church, Monday from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation. Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. Barbara's family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Northland Lodge for the wonderful care she received while living there.
