Bessler, Marlene A. Marlene A. Bessler, age 73, of 1872 Whitewater Circle, Manitowoc, died Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. She was born on April 25, 1941 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Walter and Marcella (Weier) Cornils. Marlene was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1959. On May 23, 1970 she married Edward Bessler at St. John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Marlene was employed at Hamilton's of Two Rivers and also Lube Devices of Manitowoc, retiring from there in 2003. She loved spending time at the cabin the Pembine area, being outdoors and hunting. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed family gatherings, especially with her grandkids. Survivors include her husband: Edward Bessler, Manitowoc; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Kevin Bessler, Illinois, Kurk and Chris Bessler, Manitowoc, Bret and Jodi Bessler, Two Rivers; nine grandchildren: Dalton, Ryne, twins Cassidy and Copper, Conner, Brianna, Maddie, Allie and Brianna; one great granddaughter: Kora; six sisters and five brothers-in-law: Gladys Witak, Cooperstown, Mary Jane Pond, Manitowoc, Karen and Larry Teesch, Valders, Joanne and Dale Henry, Shawano, Barbara and Wayne Gallas, Mishicot, Connie and John McNellis, Mishicot; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: James and Ramona Cornils, Mishicot, Rick and Roxanne Cornils, Oshkosh, Irene Cornils, Sturgeon Bay; and one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Karen and Len Duquette, Suamico, Fred Bessler and special friend Pam, Green Bay. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a son: Brad Beyer; two brothers: John Cornils and Paul Cornils; three brothers-in-law: Vic Witak, Don Machia, David Pond; and a sister-in-law: Sue Bessler. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be the Rev. Zachary DeArmond. Boucher, William J. William J. Boucher, age 84, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center. William was born on April 14, 1930 in Menominee, MI, son of the late William and Gertrude Boucher. He served as a Private in the U.S. Army as a Medical Technician. He married the former Carol Schomer and she preceded him in death on February 2, 1996. William worked at Kelvinator for many years. He loved being outside and working in the yard. He also enjoyed spending as much time possible with his family. Survivors include five grandchildren: Angela (Luis) Perez, Patrick Boucher, Jennifer (Jesus) Gomez, all of Manitowoc, Cary Buriegi, Virginia, and Curtiss Dokey, Manitowoc; seven great grandchildren: Melina, Jasmine, Ariella, Kobe, Jose, Adriana and Briana. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one son: William Boucher III; and three great grandchildren: Sadie, Jose and Luis. Private family services will be held and William will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, MI. Brunner, Richard  
Brunner, Richard P. "Ricky" Richard P. "Ricky" Brunner, age 55, a resident of the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died early Wednesday morning, December 24, 2014 at the center. Ricky was born on April 10, 1959 in Manitowoc, son of Richard D. Brunner and the late Paula F. (Ziarnik) Brunner. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1977. Ricky was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1977 until 1980. He was a Nuclear Propulsion Operator of the Submarine USS Narwhal. Ricky was awarded the Navy Expeditionary Medal. He enjoyed his time in the Navy greatly, loved the Packers and model trains. Ricky loved his second family at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center where he was known for his catch phrase "A-1". Ricky loved participating in the sing a longs, playing bingo and the many other activities they had. Survivors include his father: Richard Brunner, Manitowoc; one sister and brother-in-law: Margaret and Terry Blashka, Manitowoc; two nieces: Samantha Blashka, Manitowoc, Heather (Mike) Brunner, Kiel; one nephew: Eric Blashka, Manitowoc; ; two great nephews: Cody and Connor; and one great niece: Paige. Aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother: Paula Brunner; one brother: Tim Brunner; maternal grandparents: Paul and Sophia Ziarnik; and his paternal grandparents: David and Agnes Brunner. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be the Rev. William Brunner. Richard will be laid to rest at a later date. Military Rites will be accorded by V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659 immediately following the service. Franz, Patrick  
Franz, Patrick M. Patrick M. Franz, age 43, of 1218 Philippin Street, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his residence due to health complications. Pat was born July 8, 1971 in Manitowoc, WI. He was the son of Michael and Veronica "Chico" Szymczyk Franz. Pat was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1988. He then entered the United States Navy serving his country from 1988 to 1990. During his military service, Pat played the drums with the Navy Band at the Great Lakes Naval Base. After being honorably discharged Pat returned to Manitowoc. He became employed as a chef on the Alice E tug boat for three years and also was employed as a chef at local restaurants in Manitowoc. Pat was an avid golfer and Green Bay Packer football fan. He will be remembered for his intellectual curiosity, his love of music and caring personality and his wickedly funny sense of humor. Once a friend of Pats, you were always a friend of Pats. He is survived by his best friend and companion: Ellen Kulas, Manitowoc, WI; his parents: Michael and Veronica "Chico" Franz, Manitowoc, WI; two brothers: Christopher Franz, Minneapolis, MN; Andrew Franz, Pekin, IL; Ellen's parents: Bart and Peg Kulas, Two Rivers, WI; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. A Life Celebration Social will be held for family and friends on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of the cremains at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc at a later date. The family asks everyone attending to wear Green Bay Packer attire for this celebration of Patrick's life in his honor. Gospodarek, Joan  
Gospodarek, Joan L. Joan L. Gospodarek, age 82, a former Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Unity Hospice Residence in DePere. Joan was born October 20, 1932 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Meta (Ziemmer) Kattner. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1951. On June 21, 1952 she married Chester J. Gospodarek at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2009. Together they lived in the cities of Manitowoc and Mishicot, where they owned and operated Mishicot Lockers and Meat. They also resided in Pound, at their cherished White Potato Lake Home. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Randal and Susan Gospodarek, Two Rivers; one daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Jon Schwalbe, North St. Paul, MN; four grandchildren: Dr. Jason Gospodarek, Green Bay, Alisha (Nick) Dewey, Mishicot, Rochelle (Tim) Goeltz, Luxemburg, Daniel Gospodarek, Two Rivers; and four great grandchildren: Adalyn and Brady Dewey, Mishicot and Kara and Hallie Goeltz, Luxemburg. She is also survived by one sister: LaVern (Hartlaub) Leitermann, Manitowoc; and one sister-in-law and her husband: Dorothy Kokron and John, Niles, Ill. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Leona and Frank Gospodarek; one grandson: Andrew Schwalbe; one sister and brother-in-law: Dorothy and Chester Dempsky; two brothers-in-law: Clem Hartlaub and Francis Lietermann; three brothers-in-law and their spouses: Stanley and Harriet Gospodarek, Gene and Carol Gospodarek, Paul and Rosemary Gospodarek; two nephews: James Hartlaub and Gerry Kokron and four nieces: Jackie Gospodarek, Kathy Gospodarek, Marcie Gospodarek and Jenny Polasek. Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Private Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. Hauck, William  
Hauck, William J. William J. Hauck, age 79, of 645 Elm St., Mishicot, entered into eternal life Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc. Bill was born October 24, 1935 in Chicago, IL to the late Charles and Eva Bach Hauck. He was baptized and confirmed on June 7, 1953 by Pastor Edward Zell at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot. Bill served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1956, and was stationed at Fort Hood, TX and Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He married the former Janet Stefl, on August 2, 1958 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot. Bill was employed for 27 years at the Mirro Corporation, and worked for 10 years at Buffalo Don's Artesian Water, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, cribbage, and the Green Bay Packers. Bill was a faithful member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, where he served on the Church Council, sang in the church choir, and ushered. He was a former member of the Mishicot Lions Club. Bill is survived by his wife Janet, of 56 years, two daughters and sons-in-law: Vickie and Dan Neuser, of Manitowoc, Cheri and Brian Reedy, of New Holstein, seven grandchildren: Jacob and Jordan Neuser, Katie Jo (Tony) Shimulunas, Krista (Travis) Frenz, Kelsey Stevens, Weston and Nicholas Reedy, two great-grandchildren: Quinton and Kyra Shimulunas, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, and mother-in-law: Hilbert and Gladys Stefl, two brothers: George and Robert Hauck, two sisters and brothers-in-law: Maryann and Steve Shumowsky and Iva and James Mason, and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, with the Reverend Robert Johannes officiating, with burial to follow in the Mishicot Public Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot. Visitation will continue after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Hauck family would like to express a very special thank you to the entire staff of the third floor at the Aurora Medical Center of Two Rivers, and to the entire staff of the Rivers Bend Medical and Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc for the special care extended to Bill during his illness. Your kindness will always be remembered.
