Rosinsky, Armin Paul

Armin Paul Rosinsky, a remarkably kind, gentle, patient, and loving man, died June 10th, 2013 in the arms of his devoted wife and surrounded by his family. He was born September 13th, 1928 son of Walter and Linda (nee Juul) Rosinsky. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1946 and then attended the University of Wisconsin Madison majoring in Engineering.

Armin graduated from ACME Institute of Technology where he then worked as an instructor for many years. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean occupation and again during the Korean Conflict.

The happiest day of his life was June 4th, 1955 when he married his wife, Lorraine (nee Ratajczak). Armin's foremost joy was being with his wife Lorraine, his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed vacations with family, gardening, dancing, woodworking, singing, and all types of outdoor activities, especially watersports, and ice skating.

Armin was a member of the American Legion Post 88, Knights of Columbus Council #710, Past President of the SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers). He served as a Manitowoc City Alderman from 1986 until 1989. Armin was a founding member of Mirro Company IDGAS Club. Armin worked as a product design engineer at Mirro Aluminum Company, and retired in 1994.

Armin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lorraine. Adored father to Lynn Rosinsky Meyering (Tom) Western Springs, IL, Laura Rosinsky-Zeisse (Brad) Wauwatosa, WI, and Tom Rosinsky (Elizabeth) Carol Stream, IL, seven grandchildren: Emma Meyering, Madison, WI, John Meyering, Champaign, IL, Alexandra Zeisse, Milwaukee, WI, Madeline Zeisse, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Jessica Zeisse, Wauwatosa, WI, Matthew Rosinsky, DeKalb, IL, and Samuel Armin Rosinsky, DeKalb, IL. He is also survived by his brother-in-law: Norman Meyer, Sheboygan Falls, WI, one niece, five nephews, as well as many friends.

Armin was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ralph, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard & Marlene Ratajczak, and his sister-in-law, Rita Meyer.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call Saturday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
