Carole R. Reseburg, age 89 of 929 S. 31st Manitowoc, died on Thursday morning, March 28, 2013 at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Scott Christiansen
Carole was born on November 23, 1923 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Jerome F. and Lillian E. (Schweigl) Hibbard. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1942 and later attended and graduated from the Holy Family School of Nursing. On May 3, 1944 she married Frederick Reseburg Sr. in Greensboro, NC. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1995.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Fredrick and Judi Reseburg, Appleton, Robert and Pam Reseburg, Manitowoc, Charles Reseburg, Manitowoc; two daughters and two sons-in-law: Rhonda Reseburg-Steenburgh and Glen Steenburgh, Grants Pass, OR, Linda and Scott Christiansen, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Jeffery (Angie) Reseburg, Gregory (Tracy) Reseburg, LeAnn (special friend Ryan) Reseburg, Nicole (Chad) Bender, Robert (Lora) Meyer, Tammi (Jeff) Dvoracheck, Kimberly Dewey; 14 great grandchildren: Kimberly (fiancé Travis), Brianna, Hailey, Jada, Casie and Camio Reseburg, Private 2nd Class Zakary and Madison Meyer, Allison and Breanne Bender, Caitlin and Lindsay Dvoracheck, Taylor and Cameron Dewey; four brothers and one sister-in-law: Robert, Lee, Dick, Rodney and Nancy Hibbard; and one sister: Fran Hibbard. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Frederick W. Reseburg Sr; one daughter-in-law: Ann Reseburg; infant twin great grandsons: Ryan Lee and Jacob Scott Bender; one brother and three sisters-in-law: Roland and Donna Hibbard, Peg Hibbard and Bev Hibbard.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Alan Boeldt. The visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.
A reception will be held at the All-Care Reception Center, Manitowoc, following the committal prayers.
