Steeber, Donald J.

Donald Joseph Steeber, 82, Littleton, Colo., passed away Feb. 7, 2013.

He was born March 12, 1930, in Kellnersville Wis., to Michael and Anna (Sladky) Steeber.

Don attended St. Joseph Grade School and St. Joseph High School in Kellnersville. He finished his high school years at Manitowoc Lincoln High School graduating with the class of 1948.

Don served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) after a 39 year career. Don married the former Millie Roberts in 1963, and they made their home in Denver, and then Oklahoma City. They returned to Colorado, upon his retirement in 1986. In his retirement, Don continued to pursue his hobbies in writing, gardening, and cooking, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Donald is survied by his wife, Millie; his daughters, Julie (Shawn) Maloy and Amy (Brett) Linscott and seven grandchildren, all of Colorado. He is further survived by his sisters, Jeanette Zeman, Kellnersville; and Carol (Erv) Lambert, Mishicot; his brother, Russell (Ione) Steeber, Kellnersville; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Steeber, Kellnersville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard Steeber; and his brother-in-law, Frank Zeman.
