Eugene W. Bauch, age 86, of 802 Forest Circle, Manitowoc, Wisconsin entered eternal life Tuesday morning, March 26, 2013 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, WI.
Eugene was born November 14, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was the son of the late Edmund and Meda Lewis Bauch. Gene attended Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy
serving overseas during World War II
in the South Pacific. After his honorable discharge from the Navy Gene returned to Manitowoc and became employed in 1949 with the Tinsel Factory for several years. Gene started working with his father at the Huebner Corporation for several years before he started the Industrial Millwork Company with his partner Bob Hittle here in Manitowoc. He retired in 1996 when he sold the business. Gene was one of the oldest members of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church where he served on the church council for several terms and was active with the building and organ committees. He enjoyed bowling in past years with the Monday night league and fishing at Clarks Lake and Kangaroo Lake.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Pat; three children: Faith Bauch, Oshkosh, WI; Merry Koch, Manitowoc, WI; Timothy (Carolyn) Bauch, Manitowoc, WI; four grandchildren: Ashley (Joshua) Koch Krause, Bevin Jene Koch, Taylor Brice Bauch, Bridgete Marie Dunn; one great grandson: Aiden Krause; one step brother: Harlan (Helen) Demsien, Manitowoc, WI; close family friend: Jon R. Koch, Manitowoc, WI; nieces, nephew along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edmund and Meda Bauch.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Nicholas Maglietto and Rev. Paul Schossow. Burial will take place at Knollwood Cemetery at a later date. Cremation took place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friend may call at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Following the church services there will be a luncheon held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
