Florence Tienor(1920 - 2011)

Florence Tienor, age 91 of Brillion died on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Garrow-Villa in Brillion.

She was born on April 25, 1920 in Phlox, WI, daughter of the late Louis and Clara (Wallander) Gintner. She married Emil Tienor on October 16, 1940 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. Florence lived in Brillion since 1947. She worked at Karl's Variety Store in Brillion for 15 years. She also baked for Vogels Restaurant and was a seamstress for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Brillion, the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Knights.

Survivors include three sons: Robert (Ruth) Tienor, TX, Richard (Cindy) Tienor, Brookfield, WI, Steve (Maddie) Tienor, Beaver Dam, WI; two daughters: Patricia (John) Walter, Oconomowoc, WI, Barbara (George) Apostolou, Brooklyn Park, MN; a son-in-law: Charles Fischer, Wheaton, IL; her grandchildren: Jennifer Madrid, TX, Jeffrey Tienor, TX, Alex Walter, USAF-NC, Angela Walter, NC, Anthony Walter, WI, Aris Apostolou and Cassie Apostolou, MN; her great-grandchildren: Abby, Luke and Mia Madrid, Nicolas, Aaron & Jacob Tienor, TX, Eleanor & Emily Walter, NC, her brothers and sisters-in-law: Louis Gintner, Argonni, WI, Paul (Rose Ann) Gintner, Valders, Joe (Rosie) Gintner, Reedsville, her sisters and brothers-in-law; Janet (Al) Braun, Whitelaw, Gail (Norbert) Braun, Whitelaw, Mary (Neil) Hillstrom, Freemont, Victor Koerner, Manitowoc; her sisters-in-law: Shirley Gintner, Hartford, Dorothy Gintner, Whitelaw, Donna Gintner, Manitowoc, Dorothy Gintner, Manitowoc, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Emil on April 8, 2010, a daughter, LuAnne Fischer in August, 2006, five brothers; Leo, Jack, Earl, Kenneth, and Richard Gintner, her sister, Angeline Mahloch and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Mike Betley will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
