Schultz, Gerald R.
Gerald R. Schultz, age 75, of 2135 Richmond Avenue, Manitowoc, entered eternal life Tuesday evening, September 10, 2013 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Gerry was born on June 11, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Raymond and Sophie Kuhn Schultz. Gerry graduated in 1956 from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee. After high school he entered the United States Army
and after basic training he then went into the Army Reserves. Gerry then continued his education at the UW-Milwaukee graduating in 1962. He then became employed with the Internal Revenue Service, Englewood Electric a subsidiary of Rockwell Automation, and then became self-employed to the present time with Schultz's Tax Service. On August 22, 1959 he married Mary Bresnaham in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Gerry was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the Manitowoc Elks Club
. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, curling, spending time with family and reading.
He is survived by his wife: Mary; three children: Scott Schultz, Manitowoc; Patty Darling, Hortonville, WI; Pam (Mike) Olson, Bayside, WI; four grandchildren: Tony and Michael Darling; Ellie and Jack Olson; six brothers and sisters: Bob Schultz, Milwaukee, WI; Nancy Putz, Milwaukee, WI; Dennis (Sandy) Schultz, Stillwater, OK; Dick (Barb) Schultz, Two Rivers, WI; Linda (John) Witte, Green Lake, WI; Karen (Jody) Kidzinger, Germantown, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Zachary DeArmond. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of the cremains to be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Following the funeral services there will be a luncheon for family and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
