Helen E. Bohachek age 94 a Manitowoc resident died Friday morning September 6, 2013 at St. Mary's at Felician Village, Manitowoc.

The former Helen Zeman was born May 13, 1919 in Manitowoc County daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Krish) Zeman. On January 29, 1938 she married Charles J. Bohachek at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. Charles preceded her in death on January 1, 2010.

Following their marriage the couple lived in Norman and in 1942 they moved to Manitowoc. Helen worked as a bookkeeper for Bohachek Construction. In later years she worked at Johnson Hills, Margenau Drugs, Prange's and Younker's Department stores in cosmetics sales. She was a charter member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and a current member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the church's St. Claire Society. Helen was also a member of the WI Czechs, Norman Czechs and the Lamplighters Dance Club of Manitowoc. Helen enjoyed spending many summers with her family at their cottage at Whispering Sands Resort at Sand Bay in Door County.

Survivors include her four children: Charlene Crabb, Brookfield; Allan (Priscilla) Bohachek, Hartland; Judy (Kent) Herold, Shelbyville, KY; Donna (Ed) Bubert, Chicago, IL; ten grandchildren: Tom (Jackie) Crabb, Middleton; Bill (Jeannine) Crabb, Appleton; Michael (Judy) Crabb, North Prairie; Jim (Catherine) Crabb, Palatine, IL; Doug (Stacey) Bohachek, Cross Plaines; Amy (Mike) Olson, Waukesha; Barbara (Jim) Cutillo, Fischers, IN; Steve (Diana) Herold, Crestwood, KY; Scott (Tina) Herold, Kansas City, MO; Marie Barcus, Silverdale, WA; 25 great grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law: Olive (Joseph) Krajnek, Maribel; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Rosella Hodek, DePere; Lester (Colleen) Bohachek, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Emma Zeman; Her husband: Charles J. Bohachek; one sister and brother-in-law: Rose and Wencil Weber; one brother-in-law: Ben Hodek.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, September 13, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi, Waldo site, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Beaudry will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon.
