Henry A. Kiel
Henry Anthony "Hank" Kiel, age 77 of the Town of Wescott, Shawano, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in Green Bay. Born on August 28, 1935 in Whitelaw, he was the son of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Damman) Kiel. After graduating from high school, Hank enlisted with the United States Army
and served his country for three years. Following his service to his country, Hank attended the University of Wisconsin
-Madison studying engineering. On February 7, 1959 he was united in marriage to Arlene Vondrachek in Reedsville. After marriage the couple lived in Whitelaw and later in Waukesha where Hank worked for Spancrete for 27 years before becoming part owner of International Erectors, Inc. After retiring in 1995 Hank did consulting for various projects as he felt a need. Some of the projects he worked on over the years included the Lambeau Field Skyboxes, the Bradley Center and Soldier Field. In 1986 the couple moved to Green Bay and in 2000 made their final move to Shawano. Hank was a member of the St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cecil where he volunteered his talents to oversee the recent expansion of the church. He was also a member of the American Concrete Institute and was former president of the Village of Whitelaw. In his free time, Hank enjoyed golfing, fishing, and cheering on his Green Bay Packers.
Hank is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Arlene; 3 daughters, Sandy (Ian) Johnson of Mequon, Karen (Lewis) Kiel Rosser of Ames, IA, Susan (Jim) Langdon of Rockwall, TX; 7 grandchildren, Krissy (Josh) Russell, Alex Mayer, Katie Langdon, Madeline Langdon, Lauren Rosser, Morgan Rosser, Tony Rosser; 3 great-grandchildren, Junior, Tyler, Paige; 6 siblings, Bob (Arlene) Kiel of DePere, Laura (Don) Kleist of Neenah, Daniel (Marge) Kiel of Whitelaw, Alfred (Lois) Kiel of Whitelaw, Roy (Betsy) Kiel of Two Rivers, Mary Kiel of CA; and his special companion, Wylee.
Hank was preceded in death by: a daughter, Judy, in infancy; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cecil with the Deacon Mike Grzeca officiating with Military Rites to follow. Burial will be in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Whitelaw. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of the service.
