Stadler, Lawrence F. "Shorty"
Lawrence F. "Shorty" Stadler, age 80, of 1888 Sylvan Dr. Green Bay, died Monday January 28, 2013 at his residence.
Shorty was born on October 24, 1932 in Birnamwood, WI, son of the late Anna Stadler and Rudolph Resch. He was a United States Army
veteran serving in Korea from June of 1953 until his honorable discharge in April of 1955. On February 27, 1959 Shorty was married to Gloria "Jean" Packard at Fox Lake, IL. She preceded him in death on January 15, 1995. On October 12, 1996 Shorty was married to Betty Osmanski at St. Edward and Isadore Catholic Church in Flintville. In the past Shorty worked as a machinist for the Kohler Company for 7 years, Tecumseh for 20 years and farmed in the Town of Franklin, Manitowoc County from 1974 until 1988. He was a member of St. Edward and Isadore Catholic church in Flintville. Shorty enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, playing the harmonica, accordion and the guitar.
Survivors include his wife: Betty Stadler, Green Bay; one daughter and son-in-law: Betty (David) Muench, Maribel; one son: David Stadler, Pearson; three step children: Dorothy (Joe) Gall, Hebron, KY; Robert Osmanski, Luxemburg; Mike Osmanski, Howard; 18 grandchildren: Bonnie (Karl) Last, June (D.J.) Phillips, Ryan Vanderlinden and his special friend: Sheila, Adrian List, Lyndsey Stadler and her special friend: Kyle, Jon Muench, Christopher Stadler, Heather Stadler, Blake Stadler, Bradley (Heather) Gall, Amanda Gall, Kelsey Gall, Chelsey Osmanski and her fiancé: Tony, Chad Osmanski, Chance Osmanski; 5 great grandchildren; his mother-in-law: Betty Gerow, Crandon; one half brother: Edward Butts, Berlin; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Anna Stadler and Rudolph Resch; his step mother: Lillian Resch; his first wife: Gloria "Jean" Stadler; his daughter: Marlene Vanderlinden; his son: Lawrence Stadler; and one grandson: Jamie Muench.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at St. Edward and Isadore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville Rd. Flintville. The Rev. David Hoffman will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at Kasson Evergreen Cemetery in the Town of Maple Grove, Manitowoc County. Military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday in the cemetery by Kubale-O'Connell VFW
