Lambrecht, Lorin W.
Lorin W. Lambrecht, age 94, of 1104 27th Street, Two Rivers, died Friday evening, November 15, 2013 at the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers.
Lorin was born in Oconto County on January 30, 1919, a son of the late William and Anne Marie (Nelson) Lambrecht, and attended Washington High School in Two Rivers. Lorin was a U.S. Veteran having served from Jan. 1941 to Nov. 1945 in the Pacific during WWII
. He was honorably discharged from the Army/Air Corp. as a sergeant. On June 26, 1948, he was married to Jean M. Rahmlow at Emanuel United Methodist Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on August 10, 2012. Lorin and Jean farmed in the Larrabee area until moving to Two Rivers in 1988. He also worked at the Mirro Aluminum Co. for 17 years. Lorin enjoyed gardening; he was an avid Packer & Brewers fan; and was a longtime member of the local VFW
Survivors include his children: Larry and Pat Lambrecht, Stangelville, Lorene and George Taddy, Denmark, Don and Dianne Lambrecht, Tisch Mills, Helen Barbarossa, Two Rivers, Lois and Don Posvic, Two Rivers, Paul and Theresa Lambrecht, Brillion, Lynn and Chris Zigmunt, Francis Creek, Brian and Wendy Lambrecht, Mishicot, Carol and Chuck Reinhart, Mishicot, Sara and Bryan Little, Jackson, Mich., Brenda Lambrecht, Mauston, Julie and Randy Massey, New Frankin; 35 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. He is further survived by two sisters: Darlene Lambrecht and Beverly Menges, both of Two Rivers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law which include: Etta Siehr, Manitowoc, Ruth Redeker, Shawano, John (Verda) Rahmlow, Two Rivers, Ray (Mary Ann) Rahmlow, Mishicot, and Gilbert (Beverly) Rahmlow of Greshham. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester, Lyndon, and Lyle Lambrecht; and six sisters, Edith Larson, Evelyn Sorlie, Effie Olson, Eloise Boness, Eleanor Boness, and Elaine Rudy.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Emanuel United Methodist Church, 1218 Madison St. Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Joan Frost, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc. Military graveside rites will be accorded by members of the VFW Post #1248 and American Legion Post #165 of Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Emanuel United Methodist Church, Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon.
