Schneider, Margaret F.
Margaret F. Schneider age 103, a resident for the past five years of the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc, died there Sunday, April 28, 2013.
Margaret was born on June 23, 1909 at Wausau, daughter of the late John and Mary (Deeks) Schneider. She grew up in Wausau and graduated high school there. Margaret graduated from Viterbo College in La Crosse with a teaching degree and then began her life long teaching profession. She worked for the University of Minnesota
for one year and then taught elementary school in Wisconsin, Iowa, Montana and California. Margaret retired in 1989 from the Hueneme School district in California where she taught for forty years. She enjoyed art, dancing, traveling and traveled around the world in 1973. After Margaret's retirement she moved to Whitelaw and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Survivors include: three nephews: Kent (Toni) Schneider, Hohenwald, TN; John (Anita) Schneider, Onalaska; Warren (Mary) Wagner, CO; four nieces: Karen (Elwin) Lutzke, Manitowoc; Kay (Lee) Felde, Manitowoc; Georgia (Larry) Thompson, Onalaska; Margie Schneider, Onalaska; other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Mary Schneider; two brothers: John and George Schneider; two sisters: Helen Ferris and Agnes Schneider; one niece: Leola Wagner; one nephew: Keith Schneider.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday,(TODAY) May 1, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. The Rev. Dave Zimmerman will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wausau next to her parents. At the request of Margaret there will be no funeral luncheon following the funeral service. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is serving the Schneider family.
