Marilynn A. Johnsrud, age 71, a resident of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, found eternal peace, Saturday evening, June 15, 2013.
Marilynn was born on February 19, 1942 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Michael and Mildred (Loritz) Ebert. She graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1960. On October 14, 1961 she married James F. Johnsrud at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1995. Marilynn was employed at Rahr Malting and J.C. Penney's for many years. She was also employed with the Manitowoc Public School System as a special education assistant at Monroe Elementary. Marilynn enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother as well as traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Julianne and Wayne Yindra, Port Richey, FL, two sons and daughters-in-law; James and Elisa Johnsrud, Cottage Grove, WI, Gregory and Tracy Johnsrud, Manitowoc, fourteen grandchildren; Tyler Novak, Travis Yindra, Ryan Yindra, Karissa Bjork, Sarah Johnsrud, Bryce Bjork, Blake Bjork, Samuel Johnsrud, Jennifer (Jerance) Farmer, Justin Johnsrud, Jamie Krause, Jacqueline Johnsrud, Madeline Johnsrud, three great grandchildren; Kendalyn Waddell, Brailyn and Temperance Farmer, two sisters and three brothers-in-law; Judi and Ken Roberts, Manitowoc, Mary and Kerry Krajnik, Francis Creek, Robert Kujawski, Newton, two brothers and three sisters-in-law; Michael and Julee Ebert, Las Vegas, NV, Gary and Kathy Ebert, and Ann Kujawski, all of Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc.
