Phyllis Mae Nohl, 61, of 16618 S. Cedar Lake Rd. Kiel died Saturday morning January 5, 2013 at her home. She is the former Phyllis Kaestner, born June 25, 1951 in Plymouth, daughter of the late Harvey & Luella (Machut) Kaestner. Phyllis was a 1969 graduate of Plymouth High School. On June 11, 1969 she was united in marriage to Leander Nohl at Saron UCC in Plymouth. Phyllis and Leander farmed together for many years until 2001. She also worked at Aggrecon Ltd and at the Town of Schleswig Recycling Center for many years.

Phyllis was a long time, active member of the Schleswig Cadets 4-H Club and served as past president of the Manitowoc Co. 4-H Association. She was a lifetime member of the Manitowoc Co. Expo Association and the Wisconsin FFA Alumni Association. She also was very involved with the Kiel FFA Alumni, having organized and worked at the toy shows and Kiel Picnic food stand for many years. In her free time she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, going shopping, talking on the phone and visiting with her Aggrecon customers and recycling center patrons.

Survivors include her husband; Leander; her children; Tina Nohl of Kiel, Tonya (Dean) Dvorak of Manitowoc, Tim (Michelle) Nohl of Santa Maria CA., Tiffany Nohl of River Falls, WI. Grandchildren; Emma & Elizabeth Dvorak, Adam Nohl. 2 brothers; Roy (Barb) Kaestner, Sheboygan, Gene (Kathy) Kaestner, Howards Grove, sister; Jeanette Moioffer, Elkhart Lake, mother-in-law; Valeria Nohl, Kiel, sisters-in-law; Mardell (Steve) Blohm, Kiel, JoAnn (Richard) Ernst of Glenbeulah. She is further survived by her extended family Hans (Gladys) Palm, Sheboygan Falls, Reinhard Palm, Sheboygan, along with nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law; Lester Nohl and extended family; Joyce Palm.

Funeral services for Phyllis will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at Bethel UCC (W4225 County Line Rd. Elkhart Lake) Burial in the Church Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home 815 6th St. Kiel on Tuesday January 8, 2013 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30am until the time of services.

Phyllis' family would like to thank Dr. Kumar and the staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Center along with the Sharon S. Richardson Home Hospice and the Kiel Ambulance Service for the care and compassion shown to Phyllis and her family.
