Donna Turek Obituary
Donna M. Turek age 79, of 4018 Custer St. Manitowoc, died Monday, January 28, 2013 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center of Manitowoc.
The former Donna Maresch was born on October 22, 1933 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Edward and Hazel (Behrendt) Maresch. She was a 1952 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On June 11, 1955 Donna was married to John Turek at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. John preceded her in death on October 28, 1990. Donna had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Holy Family Hospital for 22 years and Shady Lane Nursing Care Center for 13 years. She enjoyed weekend trips to play bingo and slot machines, shopping and going out to eat.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: John (Wendy) Turek, Manitowoc; one daughter: Lori Turek, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Alex Turek and Maggie Turek; one sister-in-law: Shirley Scroggins, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Hazel Maresch; her husband: John Turek and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday February 1, 2013 at the Jens Family Funeral Home, 1122 S. 8th St. Manitowoc. Deacon Paul Kieffer will officiate with burial on Monday at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of services at 4:00 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com.
