Anita Lou Schultz (Schafer) of 1505 George Street, Manitowoc was taken to Heaven on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
Anita was born April 7, 1931 in Marshfield, WI of the late Albert Adam and Clara Jane (Frantz) Schafer. She attended School in Owen, WI. On February 4, 1949 she married Clinton Thales Schultz in Neillsville, WI. Anita and Clinton resided in both Emerald, and Hilbert WI before making Manitowoc, WI their home for their family. Anita was active in the girl scouts as a troop leader when her daughters were young; she was also active in the Eagles and an active member of her church Lakeshore/Wesley United Methodist Church. Anita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with a contagious smile who loved to get her family together whenever possible. Forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend Clinton, Manitowoc; six children: Douglas (Mary) Schultz, Manitowoc; Cheryl (Jeff) Blevins, Chandler, AZ; Lynn (Ray) Stewart, Bethesda, MD; Kathlyn (Dan) Tache', Appleton, WI; Dean (Jessie) Schultz, Manitowoc, WI; Craig (Karen) Schultz, Manitowoc, WI; fourteen grandchildren: Jason (Haeli) Schultz, Christopher (Amy) Schultz, Matthew Schultz, Jenna (Philip) Schmidt, Lauren Stewart, Jay Stewart, Brian (Jessica) Blevins, Scott Blevins, Jacob Tache', Benjamin Tache', Rachel (Jason) Taylor, Matthew Tache', Trevor Schultz, Ashley Schultz and fiancé Aaron Smith, and Emily Schultz and eight great grandchildren. One brother: Eugene (Pearl) Schafer; two sisters: Alice and Eula. She was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Clara Schafer; one brother: Percy Schafer; one sister: Winifred Wall.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 411 Reed Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Pastor Thomas Dunham with burial of the cremated remains to be held at a later date at Knollwood Cemetery. Cremation took place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at Lakeshore United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences for the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated for the National Fibromyalgia Association.
