Beatrice L. Klein, age 86, of 803 24th St., Two Rivers, died Thursday evening, April 4, 2013, at the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers.
Beatrice was born August 18, 1926, in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late Louis and Lillie (Rausch) Baum. She graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School with the class of 1944. On November 26, 1949, she married Lewis Klein at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Beatrice was active at church as a Girl Scout leader, a greeter and a member of the ladies society and was also a volunteer at C.C. Case School. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, gardening, cooking, canning, especially dill pickles, embroidering and the family Fourth of July picnics.
Survivors include her husband: Lewis Klein, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law: Peter and Kathleen Klein, Mishicot; one daughter and son-in-law: Judith and Leigh Stegemann, Two Rivers; three grandchildren: Sara Stegemann and special friend, Christopher Bertler, and her son, Cole Claudel; Megan (Brian) Muenzenmeyer and their son, Max Muenzenmeyer; and Sam Stegemann. She is further survived by a niece: Nancy Kakes; her in-laws: Claude (Shirley) Klein, Margaret Kluck, Therese Kubsh and Anita (Peter) O'Hara; along with other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters: Marian Baum and Grace Cudahy.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
