Yanda, Bernadine C.

Bernadine C. Yanda, age 94, formerly of 17525 Saxonburg Rd., town of Mishicot, entered into eternal life Saturday January 7, 2017 at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc. She was born March 31, 1922 in the town of Maple Grove to the late John and Bertha Rolland Daley. Bernadine was a 1940 graduate of the East DePere High School. She married Raymond Yanda June 9, 1945 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maple Grove. He preceded her in death February 22, 2012. Bernadine worked for various company's in Manitowoc, and assisted her husband on the family farm tending to all of the animals, especially the cows. She was a faithful member of St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills and was a member of the Rosary Society of the church. She also did volunteer work at the church. Bernadine was known as a wonderful cook. She and Ray enjoyed dancing, and were members of the Happy Hoppers. She was also a member of the WI Czech Club. Bernadine was very proud of her Irish Heritage.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Diane and Michael Rusch, of Manitowoc, Audrey and Wallace Wagner, of Oshkosh, one son and daughter-in-law: David and Suzanne Yanda, of Manitowoc, 9 grandchildren: Susan (Jason) Zipperer, Tara (Matt) Muszynski, Holly (Jason) Suszek, Dr. Eric (Sundee) Wagner, Colin (Amanda) Wagner, Jessica Wagner and her special friend: Scott Barry, Amy (Mike) Lee, Becky (Aaron) Longrie, Joe (Jen) Yanda, 21 great-grandchildren, one sister: Pat Steeber, of Menomonie Falls, and is further survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by 4 sisters: Mary (Victor) Cavanaugh, Lucille (Bill) Vogel, Florence (John) Yohanek, Dorothy (Merlin) Cenefelt, two brothers: John (Mary) Daley, William (Carol) Daley. a brother-in-law: Cliff Steeber and by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Irene and George Froelich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills with the Reverend Dennis Drury officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church, until the time of service at 11:30. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name. Bernadine's family would like to express a very special thank you to the entire staff of the Felician Village for the years of wonderful care extended to Bernadine and Ray, and to the staff of Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. Your kindness will always be remembered.
