Dean F. Aubol, 78, of Gettysburg, Penn., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Wauwasota, Wis., on March 20, 1934, son of the late Ray Lester and Florence (Mitchelltree) Aubol.
Mr. Aubol was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U. S. Army. His employment included a number of years as department manager at J. C. Penny in Frederick, Md., along with his wife, he owned and operated seven small market radio stations in Maryland and New York, ran a dairy farm operation in New York and Maryland along with his son and owned and operated Mt. Top Truck Farm in Cumberland, Md.
Survivors include his wife, Petrina Belsito Aubol; children, Roxanne Batterdon and her husband Mark, Littlestown, Penn.; Dean F. Aubol, Jr., Thurmont, Md.; Julie Varney and her husband, Thomas, Brandonburg, Ky.; Pamela Eyler and her husband, Dick, Thurmont, Md.; Jeffrey Aubol and his wife, Tammy, Gettysburg, Penn.; and Rae Lynn Shafer and her husband, Raymond, Thurmont, Md.; two stepchildren, Charles Colby and his wife, Debby, Herndon, Va.; and Francesca Snarski and her husband, Michael, Baltimore, Md.; numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Leslie Aubol and his wife, Joan, Wisconsin; sister, Faye Budyzs, Wisconsin. He was predeceased by two sisters, Dawn Jacobson and Karen Strauss.
Interment will be private, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Online condolences can be made at monahanfuneralhome.com, arrangements are being handled by the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg.
