Meyer, Diane F.

Diane F. Meyer, age 72 formerly of rural Whitelaw, died Sunday December 30, 2012 at her daughters residence in Cudahy with her family at her side following a battle with ALS.

Diane was born on October 19, 1940 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys (Salewsky) Gilbert. She attended schools in Two Rivers. On March 3, 1962 Diane was married to Wayne F. Meyer at St. Mark Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Wayne preceded Diane in death on May 10, 2012. In the past Diane had worked for the Mirro Company and after her family was raised she worked at Fox Hills in Mishicot. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters.

Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law: Michele (Alan) Schuwerk, Seattle, WA; Marla (Mike) Freeck, Cudahy; Megan and Lauren Freeck, Cudahy; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Irene Bohm, Two Rivers; Aime (Phillip) Marceau, Portland, TN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. Diane was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Gladys Gilbert; her husband: Wayne F. Meyer; her daughter: Marsha Meyer; and two sisters: Marie and Lorraine.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel, 1500 Hwy 310 Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with entombment to follow in the mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the chapel on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be expressed at The Reinbold and Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is assisting the Meyer family with funeral arrangements.

A special thank you to Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, the ALS Chapter of Milwaukee and Heartland Home Healthcare and Hospice for all the care and concern shown to mom and her family.
