Blashka, Dolores M. (Schreiber)
Dolores M. Blashka, age 68, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Dolores was born on October 12, 1944 in Brillion to the late Edmund and Hildegarde Geiger Schreiber. She attended both Reedsville High School and Lincoln High School. Dolores had owned and operated Q Country Inn, Q Country Crafts & Supplies, and worked at Krueger International until health issues forced her into early retirement. Dolores wan an accomplished seamstress and was very proud to make wedding dresses for her family. Above all, Dolores cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends - especially her grandchildren, Jack and Sammie.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Tom and Denise Blashka, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Samantha and Jack; brother: Stephen (Arlene) Schreiber, Manitowoc; two sisters: Carol (George) Krepline, Hilbert; and Judy Havel, Two Rivers; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dolores was preceded in death by her son: David Blashka; parents: Edmund and Hildegarde Schreiber; two brothers: Stanley and William; and three sisters: Mary, Mary Ann, and Patricia.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Deacon Paul Kieffer will officiate with burial to take place at Brillion Town Cemetery at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home & Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Dolores' family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Steven Blaha, Dr. Kris Bhatt, Tressie Hartwig, and all of the staff at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center's CCU for the care and compassion they provided.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Dolores' name.
