Licht, Fredrick N. "Fritz"

Fredrick N. "Fritz" Licht, age 71, a resident of North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at North Ridge.

He was born on May 3, 1941 in Chippewa County, son of the late Leonard and Adeline (Koepl) Licht. On October 3, 1964 he married the former Mary Lou Downing at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Caddot, WI. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2010. Fredrick was employed at Manitowoc Shipyards in the maintenance department until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed playing cards, especially with his friends at North Ridge. Fredrick is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: John & Kim Licht, Manitowoc, Gerald & Tracy Licht, Manitowoc, Christopher Licht, Wabeno; ten grandchildren: Crystal Licht, Tiffany Licht, Noah Licht, Kendra Licht, Dustin Licht, Gabrielle Licht, Ashley Schwartz, Amanda Minkel, Donovan Bruce, Tristian Patterson; three great grandchildren: Ella, Sierra, Rayanne; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary & Roseanne Licht, Cadott, Leonard & Carolyn Licht, Chippewa Falls, Terrance & Jean Licht, Cadott; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Betty & William Jacobson, Chippewa Falls, Paulette & Richard Barnekow, Campbellsport, Mary Lou Buttke, Cadott; three brothers-in-law: Ed & Nancy Downing, Joe Downing, Doug & Renee Downing; and four sisters-in-law: Jacqueline (Francis) Williquette, Nancy (Mark) Gagnon, Betty Downing and Norma Licht. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Lisa Licht; a brother: Nicholas Licht; two sisters: Leona Sonnentag, Elaine Lambert/Audorff and three brothers-in-law: Lavern Buttke, Raymond Sonnentag and Dan Downing.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012. Friends may also call Saturday morning at Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.
