Joann Hannah, age 75, of 1302 Madison Street, Manitowoc, died Monday morning, November 12, 2012 at her residence.
She was born on March 22, 1937 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Ella (Scher) Gaedke. Joann was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Joann lived for the simple things and loved camping. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life. She also enjoyed traveling, holiday gatherings and making Christmas stockings for all her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Sue & Tom LaPean, Manitowoc, Sally & Bruce Graves, Shingelton, Michigan, John & Wanda Hannah, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Cassie (Travis) Hebert, Manitowoc, Trevor LaPean, Manitowoc, Jason Graves, Shingelton, Michigan, Shawn Graves and special friend Zach, Ohio, Ryan Graves, New Mexico, Troy Hannah, Manitowoc, Lydia (Garrett) Wallander, Manitowoc; six great grandchildren: Hayden & Halle Graves, Lincoln Hebert, Gage Wallander, Dylan Hannah, Maci Wallander (due in January); a brother: Frederick Gaedke, Manitowoc and a special niece: Cathie (Dennis) Mellstrom, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Lucille Gaedke, Merle Gaedke, Arlene Shellman and a brother: Ruben (Garnet) Gaedke.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be Rev. Joan Frost. Joann will be laid to rest at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 until 12:45 p.m.
