Brey, Lee Mary

Lee Mary Brey, age 72, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, January 9, 2017 at her residence.

Lee was born on February 10, 1944 in Laurium, MI to the late Ambrose and Cecilia Perreault Rewolinski. She graduated from South High School in Sheboygan with the class of 1962. Lee then graduated from UW Oshkosh in 1967 with her degree in Elementary Education. She pursued her career at McGee Elementary School in Two Rivers. On June 15, 1968, Lee married Edwin Brey at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. She enjoyed spending her time golfing, playing bridge, swimming, walking, traveling with her group of friends, reading, gardening, creating works of stained glass and going to quilting camps in Virginia with her sister Sue. Lee was a member of Elks Ladies Golf League, Woodland Dunes (where she enjoyed teaching nature), Pink Ribbon Committee of Manitowoc County, and St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

Survivors include Lee's husband of 48 years, Ed; son, Timothy (Angela) Brey, Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Dylan Holtz, Leah Brey and Lydia Brey; sister, Sue (Maynard) Wiff, Naples, FL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marcia Owens, Mosinee; Tom (Judy) Golding, Cedarburg; and John (Sharon) Brey, Cato; nieces and nephews: Mary Ellen (Paul) Druetzer, Tom Brey, Jennifer Brey, Geoffery (Sharon) Golding, Ed (Julie) Golding, Andrew Golding, Josh (Renee) Terry, Jamie Terry, Rhiannon Brey, Natalie Brey, Nicholas Brey, Michael Brey, Charlie Wiff and Angelina Wiff; many cousins and her close family in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, neighbors, Jack and Renee Kloida; also other relatives and friends. Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Cecilia Rewolinski; son, Matthew Brey; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Kenneth and Monica Brey; brother-in-law, Kenneth Brey Jr.; and sister-in-law, Julie Golding.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry and Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Following the memorial service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family would request memorials in Lee's name to Roncalli High School, Pink Ribbon Committee of Manitowoc County, or Woodland Dunes.

Lee's family would like to thank special friends Barb Tringali and Kay Dewane, and also the hospice staff who were by her side.
