Shambeau, Michele M.

Michele M. Shambeau, 49, of 4900 E. Hillcrest Rd., Two Rivers, died peacefully, with her husband, Pete and family by her side on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, following a courageous 6 month battle with cancer.

Michele was born October 8, 1963, in Two Rivers, daughter of Joe and Arlene (Bauer) Kolarik. She graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1982 and then earned her accounting degree from LTC. On April 11, 1987, she married Peter Shambeau at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Michele enjoyed being outdoors with her husband, she loved walking with her dad and her dogs, her flower gardens and liked spending time at her cottage in Townsend.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years: Peter Shambeau; her parents: Joe and Arlene Kolarik, Two Rivers; one brother: Michael Kolarik, Madison; her father-in-law: Russell Shambeau, Two Rivers; her in-laws: Rusty (Bonnie) Shambeau, Two Rivers, Peggy (Dennis) Crull, Florida and Cathy (Ron) Wick, Two Rivers. She is further survived by her dog: Charlie, nieces and nephews: Russell (Susan) Shambeau III, Elisa (Brian) Niesen, and Charlie (Maria) Crull; great nieces and nephews: Joshua, Greta, Xander, George and Baby Niesen; along with aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother-in-law and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday morning, January 5, 2013, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.

Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Michele's family extends a special thank you to the 3rd Floor nurses and staff at Aurora Medical Center and also to Dr. Barylak and the staff of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic for the compassion and care shown to Michele and her family. She will be greatly missed by her special angel on earth, Cathy.
