Robert Templeton Obituary

Templeton, Robert Allen

Robert Allen Templeton passed away on July 29, 2011 after a two-year battle with brain cancer. Robert, "Bob," was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on March 21, 1926 to William and Tressa Templeton.

He is survived by his brother, Leo Templeton of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mary Lee Schaefer and Sharon Telle; sons-in-law Andrew Schaefer and Merle Telle; granddaughters Anne Schaefer, Allison Schaefer, Sarah Schaefer and Katherine Telle; nephew, Larry Templeton and his family and niece, Tracy Duescher and her family.

Bob married Dorothy Margaret Holtz on August 3,1946 in Manitowoc. The couple lived in Wisconsin and Michigan until moving the family to California in 1963.

Dorothy preceded him in death in 2003.

Bob worked at many jobs during his life including being a bartender at the American Legion Post in Stambaugh, Michigan and ending his working years as a department manager for Montgomery Ward in Sacramento, California. He worked in appliances and home-improvement, a perfect fit since he could fix anything that was broken and build anything that needed building.

Bob loved to golf, fish, and hunt. He had many friends over the years to share in these activities and those times were some of his fondest memories.

The family would like to thank all friends and relatives who have given Dad and us their support and prayers during these difficult times. He will be missed.

A private burial will be held in Crystal Falls, Michigan.
