Roose, Stanley S.

Stanley "Stan" S. Roose, age 81, a Manitowoc resident, died on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Stan was born on March 23, 1931 in Faithhorn, MI, son of the late Floyd and Julia (Miller) Roose. He served in the United States Army. On October 9, 1960 he married Mary Ann Piesler in Gillette, WI. Stan was a jack-of-all-trades, he loved keeping himself happy with his hobbies. Stan especially enjoyed leatherwork and hunting. He was a collector of Packer memorabilia and would never miss a game. Stan also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife: Mary Ann Roose, Manitowoc; two daughters and one son-in-law: Julie and Jim Chaloupka, Waukesha, Pamela Gauthier and her significant other Ryan Wieland, Manitowoc; one son: John Roose, Milwaukee; six grandchildren: Jenny and Scott Chaloupka, Shawn Roose, Allan, Austin and Collin Gauthier, and one more expected in May; one great grandson: Bentley. Stan is further survived by two brothers; one sister-in-law; five brothers-in-law and their spouses, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. He was also preceded in death by one grandson: Michael; three brothers; one nephew; one sister-in-law and many friends.

Cremation took place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Guy Corrigall.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m.
